 The ironies of abortion
Back to Full Blog

Reader,

The objective of this post is not to actually talk about the moral or political argument of abortion, but rather the absurdity of the two sides. In other words what happens in a pro life world vs. a pro choice world?

The pro choice world:
Abortion exists as it does today. African Americans and Hispanics are three and two and half times as likely to get an abortion as a white women. The pro- choice era births become adults. The same legislation that was hailed as a major victory for the liberal cause, has changed the demographics of the country. The minorities that are needed to elect a democrat have simply vanished. Republicans gain control of the house, the senate, and the oval office. Crime is down because people who don't want children and would neglect them have abortions. We are a republican nation.

The pro life world:
Abortion is illegal. Millions of unwanted children are born. Minorities now make up the majority of the United States population. Democrats virtually have total control of all forms of government. Poverty, crime, and unemployment are high. The wealthy who desire abortions can take an hour planeride to Canada or a 5 hour ride to Europe. They have the right to choose. The poor, of there are millions, do not.

Conclusion:
The current allignment of the parties is absurd. Pro-Lifers guarentee future democrats being in power while pro-choicers guarentee the opposite. The current way abortion rights are dealt with simply guarentee political superiority of the parties once the potential fetuses have voting rights.
If you simply want your party in office 25 years from now vote for the opposite kind of legislation that your party supports. Results are guarenteed.
